Committee News – April 2021

Firstly, the committee and pre-school would like to say a big thank you to all the fundraising you have contributed to earlier this year. The amazing efforts have enabled the pre-school to purchase a selection of new resources including magnetic pyramids, outdoor weather box resources, a wooden garage, board games, magnify glasses and binoculars and bat/balls for outdoor play. We really appreciate all your support.

With the current roadmap to easing of restrictions, we are really hoping that this term will provide us with some opportunities to get together as a pre-school community. We have high hopes that our end of year Sports Day will take place and this has been scheduled for Friday 16th July. We will be organising a Summer Raffle the weeks leading up to this event and there will be a selection of Summer hampers ‘up for grabs’. There will also be selling homemade cakes and Summer drinks at the event.

Pre-loved toy sale

We are keen to encourage the children to be resourceful and we are looking to run a ‘Preloved Toy Sale’. We would be asking the children to each bring in a toy that they no longer play with or want and then will be setting up a stall with the opportunity for children to purchase new toys/books if they wish. The stall will be running outside the pre-school w/c  7th June. We would ask that all the used toys are dropped into preschool by 28th May. This will allow time for the toys to be cleaned during the half-term break.

May – Sponsored walk month

Throughout lockdown it has been lovely to see people engaging in more outdoor activities and to recognise this we will be setting the pre-school children a challenge. Throughout the month of May, we will be looking for families to participate in a Sponsored Walking Month! Further information to follow.

Thank you again for all your support and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
