Sunday 6th December ????❄️❄️??
Mrs T went along to Kippington Nursing and Care Home for the elderly in Sevenoaks to deliver a wonderful hamper of treats, ? biscuits, tea, soaps and even a bottle of wine !!! – to share amongst the elderly ? from Pre-School.
As we all understand this year, how vulnerable and isolated the elderly in our community are feeling ….. the home had mentioned via social media – how the elderly are often forgotten in society. We decided the pre-school could help bring some festive cheer to the residents.
So it was more than a privilege to meet ‘Donna’ the lovely ‘Activities Co-ordinator’ who like so many other carers has worked tirelessly during difficult times to care for those in their care,
We also donated some pens and coloured paper ? to support arts and crafts activities in the future. Mrs T even managed to wave ? to some of the residents who were having morning coffee and biscuits ? around the Christmas Tree ?
The children had worked so hard creating some very festive Christmas ? Cards each resident will receive one – ♥️♥️☃️?? Taking part in a project like this helps shape intergenerational interaction creating more positive attitudes towards ageing and the elderly in our community.
Well done children ⭐️⭐️Maybe one day we will be able to visit the residents in person ?????
Merry Christmas to Donna and all the residents at Kippington ????☃️☃️
