Things to do at Home
For our new parents, please remember to make your “Treasure Box” with your child and bring into pre-school after the Summer holidays. Ensure you add a photograph on the box of your child and decorate it together. Fill them up with their treasured possessions, for example postcards, favourite toys, shells etc. These boxes provide the opportunity for children to share their memories and contents with their friends and key person. Bring into pre-school photographs of your recent holiday, so we can put these on our world map.
Encourage your children to talk about things that they enjoy doing and why and how they are feeling. When do they feel sad or happy or angry? Read a variety of books with your children – nursery rhymes, stories, poems and also factual books. Visit the library.
Please bring in from home
Any books or objects relevant to the topic. Their favourite stories or possessions for their “Show and Tell” day. Items for the weekly colour table. Thank you.
